My first love as a writer is poetry. It has been said that "if you can write poetry,
you can write anything". I have taken that to heart and have expanded my
writing to several different areas and venues, magazines, blogs, book reviews, etc.

My love for the use of words is not limited to writing however, I love the language arts in all its forms and
have enjoyed speaking to groups and sharing poetry verbally as well.

Background
 
Most of my background in communication has been as a speaker. It is only in recent years that I have added writing to my portfolio. These two communication forms, however, seem to naturally cross over. Being able to experience the reactions of my audience when speaking has always been something I have enjoyed and I equally enjoy feedback from those who read my writing.
